How Shot Clock handles your information, and the terms you use it under. The short version: wherever it is practical, what you record stays on your own device.
Dugong Technology
Effective Date: 1 July 2026
At Dugong Technology, we believe your information belongs to you.
Our products are designed with a simple principle: wherever practical, your information remains on your own device or systems under your control. We deliberately minimise the collection, storage and processing of personal information on our own systems unless it is necessary to provide a service you have chosen to use.
When information must be transmitted to Dugong Technology or one of our services, we collect only the minimum information necessary to provide that service. Wherever practical, this information is anonymised or de-identified and is retained only for as long as required for the service to operate reliably. It is securely deleted once it is no longer required.
Depending on the product and the features you choose to use, our applications may store information such as timer settings, diary entries, notes, scores, photographs, videos and other user-generated content.
This information is normally stored only on your own device. Dugong Technology does not routinely receive or store this content.
Some optional features may require limited information to be transmitted to third-party services, for example to obtain weather information, process payments, validate software licences or provide other services that you have chosen to use. Those providers operate under their own privacy policies.
Our products may transmit limited technical information to support software licensing, application security, software reliability and product improvement.
This information may include:
Wherever practical, this information is anonymised or aggregated and is not used to identify individual users.
You control when and where your information is shared.
Our products do not automatically share your personal content with Dugong Technology or third parties. Information is shared only when you choose to use features that require it or when it is necessary to provide a service you have requested.
We do not sell, rent or disclose your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Where information is stored on your device, you control its retention and deletion.
Where Dugong Technology temporarily processes information to provide a service, we retain that information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain its reliable operation or comply with legal obligations. Information is securely deleted once it is no longer required.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information handled by our products and services.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we continually work to protect information entrusted to us, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services or legal obligations.
The latest version will always be available on our website together with the effective date.

Shot Clock is sold worldwide through the app stores, so the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR apply to people in those regions. This section sets out what those regulations require us to tell you. Everything above applies as well; nothing here narrows it.
Dugong Technology is the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected] for any question about your information, including the requests set out below.
Where we handle personal information, we rely on one of the following legal bases:
You may ask us to:
We will respond within one month, at no charge. You may also complain to your national data protection authority — in the EU, the supervisory authority where you live or work; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Much of what our apps record never reaches us at all: it stays on your own device, where it is yours to export or delete directly, and we cannot access it or produce it on request.
We keep personal information only for as long as the service it supports requires. Device registration and licence records are kept while the licence is valid, so that a reinstall works. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and consumer law requires. Anything else is deleted once the purpose it was collected for has passed.
Our website and services are hosted in Australia. Some services we rely on — analytics, payment processing, weather data, email delivery and the app stores themselves — are operated from outside the EU and the UK, and are engaged under the transfer mechanisms those regulations provide, including standard contractual clauses. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function are set without asking, as the regulations permit. Everything else — analytics in particular — is set only after you agree through the cookie banner, and until you do, no analytics or advertising storage is used. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. We do not serve advertising on this site.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.

Pick a match below, or write your own stage and watch it run.
Plus Mode is the run-up before a stage — usually set to however long the targets stay turned away, so you can start the timer before match firing commences and the stage comes in exactly as they turn. It's a setting on the watch rather than part of the sequence: 1–15 seconds, set to 7 here so you can see it work. A sequence beginning with # ignores it.
A stage is a list of phases separated by :. Inside a phase, the first number is the time in seconds and anything after a . is a warning, given as seconds remaining.
20.10.3 — 20 seconds, warnings at 10 and 3 left3:-5:3 — 3 seconds, 5 seconds facing away, 3 seconds#90.60.30.10.5 — a 90-second PRS par with four warningsPrefixes — # starts immediately, ignoring your Plus Mode lead-in. ^ forces the count upward for that stage.
A minus sign means you are not shooting during that phase — a load period or a turn-away. The watch shows those in blue, and Time Slice sits them out entirely.
A zero on any phase after the first is a pause: the timer stops and waits for you to press start again.
The rules below are the app's own. If the watch would reject what you type, so will this.
